• Nation-wide child care assistance information: Child Care Aware is a non-profit initiative committed to helping parents find the best information on locating quality child care and child care resources in their community.
• Reading programs take place throughout the summer at your local public library.
• Educational workshops and reading initiative programs are held at most bookstores around town.
• Community events going on each week for your family can be found on KOAT’s website (www.thenewmexicochannel.com).
• Information on Upward Basketball, soccer leagues, and summer camps can be found in Albuquerque Kids magazine, which you can find at your local public library.
• The City puts out a flyer (around April/May), available at libraries, showing all city-sponsored programs for kids during the summer.
• The Multnomah County Library has an excellent book list page.  Intelligently arranged by topic, these lists are sure to provide year-round reading material.
